Body Glove Women’s Dynamo Spry Water Shoe – Reviews

These shoes are definitely cute. Unfortunately, that’s about it. There is almost no support, and their claim of ultra-grip is ultra-false. I purchased these to wear at work in a kennel during the week and with my kayak on the weekend. While cleaning kennels we walk on wet floors regularly. In the two days that I’ve been wearing these I have fallen three times because of the lack of traction. This is a pretty big hazard considering most of the time I’ve got a customer’s dog with me. I can’t imagine that wearing these shoes on wet rock outside when I get to the weekend with my kayak will be any better. Pretty disappointed in a brand that’s known for water gear.Edited to add that I tried these again today just to see if it was a fluke on concrete. I was walking through puddles in grass and they weren’t horribly slippery but they stayed wet for HOURS after I was on dry ground, leaving my feet pretty grossly wrinkled and not feeling that great after I was able to take them off. Will be finding a way to return them.

runs a little small

I wear a 7.5 normally. Ordered an 8 and had to trim my toenails to wear it. I could easily wear an 8.5 and I have never done that in my life. Other than short length, the shoe did what it is supposed to. I wore them fishing on a windy wet day and they were very serviceable.

Good shoe. Tie them tightly.

Great shoe for water aerobics class. First class for which I wore them, I was very pleased. Would have given 5 stars, but the second time I wore them both shoes came untied during class despite a double knot. Will make sure they are tightly tied for next class and hope it doesn’t continue. Perhaps the manufacturer should consider using elastic laces with a toggle tightener.

Best Shoes For Canoe Trip.

These are the best shoes I’ve ever had.I bought these for a two week canoe trip in Canada. I put these shoes through hell. Walking over 5 miles in shin deep mud with a canoe on my shoulders, dragging my canoe through ankle deep rock water, you name it and these shoes have probably been through it. They are perfect for walking and for water wear. After three years since I’ve bought them they still hold up.They have small drainage holes on the bottom of them that allow water flow. I wore socks with them because otherwise the amount I waked in them wet would have destroyed my feet. I’m not sure how long it actually takes for them to dry because I was always in the water but I left them outside my tent and they were still a bit damp, but then again on a canoe trip nothing is ever throughly dry.If you want a pair of tough shoes these are for you!

Body Glove Women’s Dynamo Spry Water Shoe – FAQ

Should you buy a size smaller for these? What are suggestions?

I haven’t yet purchased a pair through Amazon yet but did purchase two pairs recently at Academy. They proved to be so comfortable that I came in Amazon today with the intention of purchasing a couple of more pair. I normally wear a size 7 1/2 in a woman’s shoe. The size seven fit better in the Body Glove. I have a slender foot with a narrow heel and a medium arch if that information is of any help.

Hows the arch support on these?

Arch support is descent. If you need strong support, this is not the shoe for you. Much better support than the stretchy, slip on water shoe though. Tied tight, the support is sufficient for my wayer aerobics class.

How thick are the soles? Would they provide protection from river rocks?

Yes, these soles are durable and have a grip to them which make them good for rocky terrain.
