Defective..How did these pass the quality check?
I was super excited to get these groundies bc of how discounted they were and now I’m wondering if they’re discounted bc they’re the defected overstock? They’re two different shaped toe box, on the left one the rubber doesn’t fully touch the mesh fabric and the right shoe is warped and the sole is crooked and both tongues of the shoe have a loose thread of the mesh fabric. The last pic is these shoes compared to my other groundies that are very well loved and it also seems like these are more narrow too. I am so confused with how terrible quality these are because I normally LOVE groundies and have multiple other pairs. Very disappointed will be returning

Ok, but not for me
This really is a pretty decent shoe. It just didn’t end up working for me. I wanted to love it and I’ve ordered and returned 4 pairs in various sizes trying to find one that worked. But at the end of the day, I keep getting hot spots on the outer edges of my feet. And when I sized up enough that this was less of a problem, the shoes were too big and felt like they would fall off of my feet. I also had a problem with the back of heel on 3 out of 4 of the shoes I tried. There was a sharp seam that dug into the back of my heels unless I was wearing very thick socks. I do love the stretchy material and stretchy laces. I love the look of the shoe and the zero drop flexible sole. But I just couldn’t cope with the hot spots. I do have tailors bunions (the reason I now wear barefoot shoes) which is where the hot spots are occurring, so keep in mind that if you don’t have any problems in that area, these still might be great for you.

Pressure points rubbing
I have Groundies boots and I love them so much that I wanted something similar I can wear in warmer weather. These fit great, and the sole feels just like the boots, so my back/foot issues are about gone. The problem with these though is that they are rubbing the heck out of my ankles at the heel! There is a seam there that makes a pretty hard surface for tender skin. I’m wearing bandaids now and hoping they will loosen up. I also have a bandaid on the ball joint of the left big toe. The seam from the strip with eyelets for lacing is rubbing there too. Yesterday my right little toe was getting irritated but today it’s okay. The shoes are really nice otherwise, They are made of stretchy fabric and I even like the terra cotta color. I was unsure when I ordered, but turns out it goes well with my clothing. I’m keeping these because of the barefoot minimalist sole, but I wish they didn’t rub the heck out of my feet.. They fit perfect. It’s not a size problem. It’s a seam problem.

Ok, but annoying
These are for the most part fine. The toe box is wide enough for (my) toes, without making me look like I’m in line for Ronald McDonald tryouts.I’m going to keep them, and figure out a way to deal with it, but there’s a part on the back of the shoe that rubs the back of your ankle. Basically at stabs right into your Achilles heel. For me it’s only on the right shoe the left shoe seems fine so I’m not exactly sure what the problem is. I will just cover it up or where a Band-Aid but I was hoping that these could be my every day shoes and my walking shoes. They can’t be if they annoy & hurt the point where I can’t walk. You can see in the photos the indent on my right ankle vs the red mark on my left. The right shoes stitching is garbage. You get what you pay for! The ones I wanted from the better company weren’t in stock so I settled for these and am regretting it a little bit.

Inconsistent Fit
People often praise Groundies for everyday barefoot styling. These were awful! They are as narrow as Converse! No room for toe splay. For some reason the soles had this weird pink stain which I would have tolerated if they fit great. I bought the exact same shoes in the same size in black and they fit completely different. Those aren’t great either, but they were cheap enough I’ll keep them in rotation. I will stocking up on the Whitins for now.

New Go- To Shoe
I got these shoes after looking for an introductory shoe for the barefoot movement. After reading reviews and comparing the Groundies website, these seemed like a deal (on the website they were $99, I got them for $49). I was hesitant because of the other negative reviews, but I personally now love them. They’re an all over stretchy material (including shoelaces!) which allow the foot to “breathe” throughout the day. I personally think they’re absurdly comfy, and they look like regular tennishoes, albeit it with a wider toe box. I’m a normal 7.5, and ordered the 7.5. They fit like a charm, with a little extra room in front of the toes, which I believe is intended from the Groundies fitting description. No regrets and I’m happy I snagged them!

Narrow AF
So narrow. Not a barefoot shoe if your toes can’t spread

Can’t wear them!
Should have listened to other reviews that said they have a stitching in the back that just makes it impossible to wear. It just hurts to. Other than that it is made of great strech fabric that is very roomy and comfortable. Doesn’t help too much as it isn’t wearable.
