Not even close to the same as the F lite 235 v1

Inov-8 took the best shoe in the history of the Earth (the F lite 235v1) and…completely ruined it. This shoe is substantially narrowed than the v1, both in the toe box and the heel. It’s stiff, and it feels like a running shoe. Not good if what you want is something like the F lite 235 v1. This really shouldn’t be considered the same shoe. Build quality and appearance is great, so I don’t want my disappointment to sway your buying, just understand that this IS NOT EVEN CLOSE to the F lite 235 v1. Otherwise probably a great show for other people.

Good replacement for the Nano 2

What do you do when your favorite cross trainer (Reebok Nano 2.0) has been out of production for years, and you can’t find anyone that still sells that in your size? You get the Invo-8 F-Lite 235 V3.The specs are very similar to the Nano 2.0, and it doesn’t have the ridiculously large flared out heal that seems to be all the rage these days.My only gripe with these shoes is the tongue is too thin. I get it, lightweight is a huge feature for Inov-8 shoes, but a little padding would eliminate some mild discomfort across the top of the foot. You probably won’t notice it if only sweating the shoes for a workout, but if you have them on for several hours you can get some discomfort.Other than that the shoes are a great cross trainer.

My favorite training shoe to date

These have quietly been my favorite training shoes, so far. I’m a firefighter and do a mix of powerlifting and cross-training, and I would choose these over all the Nike zero-drop heels and Adidas trainers of my workouts past. If you have a longer run scheduled in for your workouts, I would suggest trying a shoe with more cushion/support throughout, but the INOV-8 235 v3 has held up to 6-days-a-week workouts consisting of 45mins of high-intensity jump ropes, rowing, and general kettlebell madness and traditional powerlifting. Super-breathable and supportive for the heavier lifts, despite the tops sitting below the ankle.Highly recommended if this is your first zero-drop heel!

Fits Snugly. Feels nice. Grossly hot sauna for my feet.

I like how these shoes fit and feel. I have flat feet, and it’s always a struggle to find a shoe that works well. However, these shoes don’t breathe at all, which is a shame – especially because they’re marketed as exercise shoes. I am returning these shoes because my feet are wet with sweat every time I take them off, even if I only wear them for a brief period of time or for a menial task.

Wide foot box. Excellent foot hold

I love this shoe. I use it primarily for lifting weights, metcons and cardio sessions. I find that they are a more minimal feel underfoot and very secure. I usually wear Altras or Topos and I find these to be more similar to Topos as far as toe box and secure foot hold. I find these are so comfortable on my feet that I take any opportunity to wear these even when I’m not training. These mostly remind me of old school merrell barefoot shoes.

Good shoes for Table Tennis

I like them and they fit me perfect. I wish the tie material was different. It is a bit hard to tie and does not stay put because of the material. Plus the ties are bit shorter. Overall I am happy with them. Used already for more than 20 hours of table tennis and it does not badder my feet.

Great shoes, but they size small

I love the look of these shoes and I think they have the features that I need for the type of workouts I do – lifting, HIIT, cross-training. When I received my first pair I ordered the size I always wear (10.5 US mens). They were too small in both width and length. I sent those back and ordered 11.5 which I just received. The fit is great. These are somewhat narrow shoes around mid foot, but the toe box allows for good toe splay. If you have a wide foot, I would avoid these shoes unless they are available in wide width. I would not run very far in these (they’re not made for running), but short sprints, stairs, step work, etc will be fine.

Disappointed. Impossible to keep clean…not good for running.

I’d never buy the white version again, that’s for sure. I’ve tried everything including just about dipping them in stain protector and nothing helps. The fabric seems almost designed to trap dirt. No amount of scrubbing with shoe cleaner has worked. Perhaps the black would be fine. My previous perforated leather shoes come clean with a wipe. That said, I’ve found these to be great for lifting so if you confine your use to the gym I suppose they’d be ok. I wouldn’t run in these for anything more than a short distance. They’re nowhere close to the stability and support someone my size needs (6′-4″ 250). So, as a pure gym-only lifting shoe? Ok. As anything else? Not so much.
