Buy a half size smaller
Merrell changed the sizing on version 5 of the trail glove (along with other changes);; the shoe runs big. I needed a half size smaller, which was unavailable at the same price.I’ve worn the trail glove since its fist iteration, and in my opinion every year’s changes have been for the worse. I still like this shoe (and will keep my smaller size), but the version 5 will be my last. It’s just no longer a barefoot, minimal, roll-up-in-a-ball and fit into a little compartment in your luggage shoe.

Ideal hiking shoe…
I bought these for hiking and backpacking after spending 5 days backpacking an island in my water shoes since my boots caused me some pain and discomfort. These shoes are so comfortable. I have a normal arch, but appreciate the arch support. Other than the arch these shoes feel like a glove for sure. Barley there! They are exactly what I was looking for. Altho I haven’t been on an extended hike in them yet, I’d probably go as far to say my ideal hiking shoe!

Barefoot feel while offering protection
Bought these for my wife after she saw mine. We both love them on the trail. We even wear them while road running on runs under 10 miles long. The zero drop and wide toe box are great. The sole is very flexible but offer protection from rocks and sharp roots on the trail.

Favorite shoes of all time
These are literally my favorite shoes that I’ve ever owned. I got some a couple of years ago and they lasted quite awhile before getting some holes so I got me another pair to hopefully last me again another two years! Highly recommend

Love wide toe box
Runs just a bit large, but I’d rather have more space than not enough.Great zero-drop/barefoot shoe with a wide toe box and flexible sole.

Are these slip resistant in rain?
They are but in really heavy rains your feet will get wet because they are so flat to the ground. It only happened to me a couple times. My feet did not slip though good grip.
What are the measurements from heel to toe? Ive heard these run large
I usually use 8 1/2 in a running shoe but l prefer 9 in these so my toes can really stretch out. I don’t have the measurement sorry. I recommend ordering 2 pairs & seeing what you like best, return 1.
