All reviews are tried on with nylon sock since I don’t plan to wear socks with my shoes. If you plan on wearing socks, I’d size up half size. I tried on 6.5 and 7’s. See image with all three shoes_______________________________Vapor glove 3 –Pros+Zero drop+No arch support+Width was acceptable compared to othersCons-Horrible rubber smell-Toe box across the top has a really hard rubber piece that rubs on top of the toes like the shoe material height is too short. If that makes sense.7’s were a little big, maybe okay if I was going to wear socks. 6.5 were better length wise but too tight across the top side of the toe._______________________________________________Trail Glove 4-pros+Zero drop+Barely there arch supportCons-Fit is VERY narrow, especially on the outside edge.Sizing6.5 fit better barefoot style__________________________________________________Trail Glove 5Pros+Zero drop+Rock plate+Antimicrobial treatment+Widest toe box of allCons-Arch support was uncomfortable – too tallSizing7 is too big. 6.5 felt snugger but the rubber toe guard was really hardI wish these would have worked out since I wanted zero drop barefoot with rock plate.______________________________As much as I love merell, I ultimately kept the New Balance Women’s WT10v1 Minimus Trail Running Shoe+The arch support is barely there and doesn’t hurt the bottom of my foot.+They have a wide toe box – ONLY if you get the wide size – otherwise the regular ones are too narrow due to the strap they added across the toe box.+-They’re 4mm drop which is acceptable given the fit is perfect.+The manufacturer page states they also have antimicrobial, but I’ll find out for sure in a few days.SizingI ended up keeping size 7 wide. 6.5 wide fit okay but I was worried since my feet do swell and I live in a high humidity state.

Love these! But slippery when wet.
Very comfortable and cute shoes!! These have replaced my Brooks running shoes, and have helped relieve my achilles tendonitis, by allowing my calves to stay more stretched and toned. They have just enough padding that walking/running on the street or clean trail is comfortable. But they’re a bit thin for rocky trails. (You can feel every rock.) Also, the grip is great on dry ground, but they’re a little slippery when wet. Overall, I love them, and will definitely buy these again.

Well made and comfortable.
I ordered these when I could not find my New Balance Minimus 10v1 running shoes in stock. These shoes are comparable to the New Balance in fit, comfort, and weight. The arch in the shoes are bit higher than the New Balance, some with lower arches may find it uncomfortable. They are made well and look like they will hold up on the roads and trails. I wear a women’s size 10 in the New Balance Minimus 10v1 and took the recommendation to size down in the Merrell shoes – I ordered a size 9 and they have the same amount of space in the toe box as my New Balance and fit how I like for my running shoes. I will definitely be ordering another pair.

Love These Hiking Shoes!
I really like the shoes! I wear a 9.5-10, depending on the type of shoe & where I buy them. I originally bought a 10 but they were way too big, so I had to return, which was fairly easy, except I had to drive 20 min. to a UPS store or pay for a pick up. My refund came in very quickly & I got a 9.5, which fit great. There’s still a bit of room at the toe but that will allow for a pair if socks, so its fine. My reason for getting a minimalist hiking shoe wasn’t a barefoot feel, it was to have a lightweight shoe, so I also added an insert because I’ve had plantar fasciitis for a while, which makes it extremely painful to walk. I hike up to 10 miles a few times a week so that kind of sucks. As soon as I put these on the pain was almost gone & was even better with the insert. Which is wonderful, since I absolutely cannot stop hiking! I often walk on partly gravel, rough trails with lots of tree roots etc. & could feel everything through other soles which were much thicker/heavier. With these, I don’t feel anything! I could’ve done without the M width but didn’t notice that’s what I was buying. I’m not sure there’s even an option for anything else besides an M. Even so, it’s fine, they just kind of bunch up a bit when I tighten the laces because I dont like walking in loosely tied shoes. The material is thin & they are VERY lightweight, which I love. I’d suggest socks that cover your ankles b/c I wore low ankle socks & the tongue & ankle material kind of dug into my skin a bit but I did have them tied on the tighter side. As I said, the material is thin & I hope they hold up with alot of use. The sole has a great thickness, without the weight or bulkiness of normal hiking shoes. Honestly, it felt like I had nothing on my feet when I wore them! Note that there is a noticeable arch in these shoes. I have pretty flat feet but the arch doesn’t bother me. I’ve read reviews where others complained about it. As I said these shoes immediately took away my plantars pain, so maybe the arch helped? Either way, I love these shoes! Just wish the price wasn’t more for different colors. I may pay extra for another color other than black but not sure. Overall, Im extremely happy with the puchase!

Awesome shoe for hikes with an awesome view!
I hiked various trails from Arizona to Utah, including Ooh Ahh Point and Cedar Ridge in the Grand Canyon, and WOW! What a shoe! So comfortable! Sturdy, great arch support for me, wide enough toe box, lightweight and no sweaty feet even after miles of hiking in the desert heat! I highly recommend these shoes! I have several styles of Merrell shoes, and am beyond thrilled with every single pair! Thank you!

These say m us? M mean men’s??
No it means Medium width. For me they fit well. I have a wider foot so I always go up one 1/2 size to ensure a wide enough fit
What’s the stack height on these shoes?
Stack height of the trail glove 5 is 11.5 mm as was the trail glove 4. Trail glove 3 was 10.5 mm
How do these compare to Pace Glove 3?
I am not familiar with the Pace Glove 3 shoe.

Would these be similar to the bare access flex?
I wish I had an answer for you. I am not familiar with the shoe…I will say, I love the Trail Glove. I bought 2 pairs. The blue/coral and a Lemon/Grey. I’m quite happy with the fit and how I move in them.
I wear size 8 in men. what size should i get in women for merrell shoes?
Measure your foot from heel to longest toe and Google a size conversion. I wear size 8 in women’s and a 6 1/2 in men’s if that helps.
Is this a stiff sole show?
The sole is supple and flexible, not rigid or stiff at all.
Have you had complaints of chemical burns on feet when these shoes get wet?
I’ve had 5 or so pairs of this Merrell Trail Glove 5, and mine get wet frequently when I wear them to the beach and walk along the shore. I always wear thin socks, but have had no issues with chemical burns or other problems to my feet while wearing them. They rinse off well under the sink and I dry them in the sun…good as new.
What type of laces do these have?
Mine have flat nylon laces.
