I ordered my normal size 8 but when they arrived, they were men’s size 8.

THESE ARE NOT WOMEN’S SHOES!
They are Men’s shoes, so you need to order a man’s size. I let Amazon know a few days ago, but they haven’t fixed the product detail page yet. I did re-order in the men’s size that fits my foot, and I love them! They are a “barefoot” type of shoe, but with good arch support. (They are actually like the running shoes we wore years ago.)

A little disappointing at first but performing well so far ( update)
Bought directly from the Merell store. I did not see the discount on Amazon at the time. Looked great, fit well just a wee bit long but working good for winter socks. Very light, agile on trail with just enough protection in the sole and toe for rough trail, cactus needles and rock hopping.My disappointment was with the quality of the leather and the lack of any gusset in the tongue. Lack of gusset means water will pour in if water is over on inch, snow will leak in even with gaiters and the tongue keeps sliding to the side. The Leather looks and feels like plastic and conditioner rolls right off of it. Thought about returning but since they fit well and were very comfortable I decided to give them a rigorous test and see how they held up. Entered them into my Runkeeper shoe tracker and now have 18 miles of moderate trail use. So far, excellent. Will update as I accumulate miles. Photos from 1 mile and 18th mileHeld up well the extreme use with snow gaiters and cleats.

Are these mens or womens sizes? the reviews i see are older and before ordering i’d like to make sure i’m getting the correct size
I bought these shoes in May – the “granite” color. Ordered women’s size 10, received MEN’S size 10. I notified Amazon by phone – talked with human beings, not an automated system – and got the sense that it didn’t matter to them. (Drop in revenues Amazon? Perhaps this is part of the reason.). I don’t know if all the colors are men’s shoes, but to be safe, I would suggest ordering your size in Men’s shoes and Women’s shoes – returning whichever ones don’t fit.
